Skiing trip
On August 15th Room One went on a ski trip to Porters ski field.We had to arrive at school at 6:45am and we would get home at 6 O’clock.
I traveled with Mr Pattinson, Wil, Aedan and Ms Kemp. When we got there it took 30 minutes for them to get sorted. When we got our gear we went down the ski field first thing.
I fell on the magic carpet because there were people in the way. Then we had our lesson. When it was our last go I did a hard turn so I went backwards on the skies. I didn’t know what to do so I crashed!
Later on I saw Fern and Tara climbing up the snowy mountain. I made holes with the ski boots to climb up. Then I slipped and fell down.
When it was almost ready to leave Porters we took all of our skies and our shoes. They were really hard to get off and we also had to put all of the straps back.
Once we almost left I forgot about my waterproof jacket so I went to get that. I came back to the car and sat in the seat. When I got back to school at 6 O’clock my dad was waiting for me so I went home with him
This ski trip was a fun experience. The best part was me not falling over. The difficult part was getting on the skies. I hated it when I fell over because I couldn't stand up. I can't wait to do it next year. The annoying part was when someone fell over on the magic carpet because it stops and then you could trip over them.

Hi Ryan, I love this recount of your trip to Porter's Ski field. I had never heard of the Magic Carpet before the class trip and I really enjoyed how you explained the problems with using and falling off it. I can see you are doing a great selection of work this year and particularly enjoyed the descriptions including in your writing. Keep up the great work. From Aedan's Mum. :)
